After a bit of delay, I am here today to bring you my trip report from last Friday. I stayed at Cabana Bay for the weekend so I could get to the parks easier. I have stayed at Cabana Bay 6 times now, and I’m still discovering new stuff about the resort. Let’s jump into Friday.
I arrived to Cabana Bay at around 4:30 and dropped my bags off at the room so I could meet-up with a friend who was waiting for me at Universal Studios. One of the things I noticed while checking in was a board advertising the fun festivities they have for Christmas at the resort.
After I dropped my bag’s of I headed down to the Bus pick-up to head so I could head to the parks. I always use the Cabana Bay bus as it is quick and a nice ride. I noticed that the Bus queue’s now have a covering over them which is really nice because it often rains, and is very bright.
If you noticed, Early Park Admission (EPA) is only available at Universal Studios Florida currently.
The bus ride to CityWalk is about a 4-5 minute ride.
Welcome To Universal Orlando Resort!
The former Nascar Grille is currently undergoing a major face-lift.
Right across from the construction is a new Auntie Annes! It just opened this past week, and is very good.
The archway to USF is looking very festive for the Macy’s Parade.
A giant Shrek balloon is on-top of the Universal Store.
I always stop by the Film Vault as they always are getting new merchandise in. They currently got the leftovers from Halloween Horror Nights.
While walking around Universal I noticed what is a new (at least to me) digital time board in-front of Animal Actors.
While near KidZone, ET is a MUST do for me, as it is one of my favorite rides at the resort.
(Please note: no flash photography is allowed on E.T.)
We then headed over to Universal’s Islands Of Adventure. While walking through the “Lost Continent” island we ran into Tim and Jenn Tracker. I have watched there vlogs for over 3 years now, and it was great to finally meet them both in person.
Check out their YouTube channel HERE.
Our next stop was Hogsmeade and we noticed that Christmas decorations were up which is new.
While at Islands, we had to check out the progress on “Project 340” rumored to be a King Kong attraction.
Part of the facade has began to appear and the footers for the facade itself are now up:
The building is really looking good!
We noticed some new footers were put up too:
We rode some rides, and then headed back to universal to check out Diagon in the dark, we walked away with some cool shots:
While leaving the Nickelodeon’s “Every Witch Way” Q&A was going on at CityWalk:
This concludes this Trip report, stay tuned as we cover Universal, and other Orlando attractions 24/7 365 days.
