Get Married Between The Bones
For a truly unique wedding venue, SKELETONS: Animals Unveiled in Orlando, Florida is offering an engaged couple the opportunity to be wedded this Spring among 400 real animal and human skeletons. The cost of the venue will be free for up to 50 guests, plus a complimentary officiant from Sensational Weddings, and a champagne or sparkling juice toast.
The bride may be in a bone-white dress to match the rhino, giraffe, manatee, elephant and human skeletons who will act as silent witnesses of the ceremony. The wedding couple agrees to let SKELETONS use their images for publicity, and acknowledge that media will be invited to record the ceremony. SKELETONS is part of the new I-Drive 360 Complex which includes the new 400 ft Orlando Eye Observation Wheel.
SKELETONS: Animals Unveiled is owned and operated by the Villemarette Family of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Company president, Jay Villemarette, Sr began collecting skulls as a youth and grew his hobby into a successful, worldwide catalog/website business called Skulls Unlimited International, Inc. In 2010, he, his wife and four children opened The Museum Of Osteology in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It is the only museum of osteology (the study of bones and skeletons) in the world. Villemarette and his family do the work to transform donated animal carcasses into skeletons.
“We have not had a wedding at our Oklahoma Museum, but in Orlando there have been so many unusual wedding settings, we wanted to show that there is beauty in the science of osteology. Sometimes beauty is more than skin deep.” said Villemarette.
Mark Brisson, Executive Director for SKELETONS added, “I have coordinated weddings in Orlando on go-karts, sky-diving rides, and arcades. While those were fun, getting married among these animals adds a beauty, uniqueness, and natural element that will be truly memorable.”
For an engaged couple looking for a complimentary venue and officiant (valued at over a $1,000) in Orlando, SKELETONS is offering a way to make your special day even more memorable. For couples who would like to this offer, please contact Mark Brisson at email@example.com. Ideally, the special day should be a Spring wedding, occurring in April or May.
“I want to make sure people know that this is a place of science and not a haunted house or a location for a Goth wedding,” stated Brisson. “We may be working with a skeleton crew, but giving away a wedding for free is a good marketing tool. We want people to know it is “bone-fied” offer. We are seeking to be quirky and not scary. For a couple on a bare-bones budget, we are truly providing a free wedding. We only ask that we can share the info with others.”
International Drive is known for its many unique attractions, and the millions of tourists who stay in its myriad of hotels. According to Visit Orlando, over 58 million people visited Orlando last year.
