Blue Man Group Perform A Sensory-Friendly Show Benefitting Autsim Speaks

On Saturday, Dec. 5, Blue Man Group at Universal Orlando® Resort performed a sensory-friendly show suitable for children with autism spectrum disorders with proceeds from the evening benefitting Autism Speaks.

The show featured slight modifications including reduced sound and light levels at various moments and earplugs were available upon request. The Blue Men limited the amount of interaction and kept their approach to the audience more subdued.

Blue Man Group also created a calming environment in the theater’s lobby for families seeking a break from the excitement. After the performance, guests were treated with a VIP-style meet-and-greet with the Blue Men and band members.

The show is part of Blue Man Group’s ongoing efforts to support autism programs in the shows various markets, including Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, New York City and Orlando.
